**Adult dogs and Puppies**
How are the puppies raised?
The puppies are raised in pens which are designed with the best safety and
cleanliness advantages in mind. We bought them from a website called
PETEDGE-They are puppy playpens-made just for puppys.

How old are the dams of the puppies?
We only breed a female after her 2nd or 3rd heat cycle. As a general rule we keep
breeding mothers no older than five-six years.

When can my puppy be shipped to me?
If a puppy is to be shipped lets say on the East Coast- it has to be at least 1 ½ lbs
and 8 weeks old.
If puppy is to be shipped lets say to the West Coast-it will have to be at least 2 lbs
and 9-12 weeks old.
**Registration**
What registry does K9 Acres Kennel use?
K9 Acres Kennel uses American Kennel Club (AKC)for Show/Breeding quality puppys
and Continential Kennel Club (CKC)for our pet only puppies . You can read more
about them on www.akc.org  and  www.ckc.org They both give us very good service
and a nice looking registration papers.

Can my Hy-Bred Puppy have Registration Papers?
Most of our duel breed puppies will have a CKC Hy-Bred registration paper.
**Veterinarian**
Will you pay my vet bills?
The only vet bills we pay are those we incur in the care and treatment of our
dogs/puppies here at our kennel. Any vet bills that are incurred in the treatment of
your new puppy must be paid by you.
**Purchasing**
What are the steps for purchasing a puppy from K9 Acres Kennel ?
First you need to make your choice of the puppy you want to buy. Please give us a
call (423-326-3004) to ensure availability and ask us any questions that you have.
We can discuss payment and shipping arrangements.

What method of payment do you accept?
Our favorite way to be paid is via Paypal (+ 3% charge) but we have also accepted
Western Union and money orders. You can pay a $150 deposit or pay in full.
Deposits are always non-refundable NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE Please be
certain you are ready for a puppy when making this decision.

Does the puppy have to be paid in full before shipment?
Yes, we require full payment for the puppy be made before shipping.
**Shipping**
What methods of shipping do you use?
We prefer to send puppies by air. The trip is much shorter and generally easier on
the puppy.

Do you make arrangements for the shipping or do I have to?
We take care of making the reservations for the flight. We will email you  all the
flight details. Which we will ask you to print and take to the airport, As well as call
you with the information. You will need a photo ID to collect your puppy at the
airport.

Can I come to your kennel and pick up my puppy?
If you live close enough to us you are ALWAYS welcome to come to our home to
view and choose your new family member. We do ask that you make an
appointment with us before coming.

Is shipping safe?
We feel that shipping is quite safe. We have safetly shipped our puppies to the
U.S.Virgin Islands,Canada,Alaska,as well as just about every state in between !

Which airlines do you use for shipping puppies?
Our preference is Delta Airlines.

What kind of travel crate is used?
The travel crates we use are made of sturdy plastic. They are similar to crates that
you get from your local PETSMART/PETCO stores. There will be a plastic water/food
cups attached inside.
